Motorcycles parked on the street in Maafannu ward of capital Male' were set on fire early on Thursday morning.
The police revealed that the motorcycles were parked outside supermarket 'Ihsaan Fihaara'. The incident occurred around 3.45am in the morning. Seven motorcycles were destroyed beyond use in the fire while two additional motorcycles received damages to a lesser degree.
The fire also affected a nearby house, although there were no casualties in the incident. Maldives Police Service have launched an investigation into the case.
