The Coast Guard has rescued a drifting speedboat near Ithaafushi island of Kaafu atoll.
Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) revealed that the engine of the vessel named 'Octave Speed' stopped running while out night fishing on Tuesday night. Coast Guard rescued the boat around 11.30pm the same night, with the boat now moored at Maniyafushi island of the same atoll.
All five aboard the vessel were brought to capital Male' by the Coast Guard.
