Maldives has been nominated for seven categories in the World Travel Awards.
Maldives Marketing and PR Corporation (MMPRC) on Sunday said Maldives has been nominated for the following categories:
- Leading Destination
- Leading beach destination
- Leading honeymoon destination
- Leading dive destination
- Leading cruise destination
- Leading green destination
- Leading tourist board
World Travel Awards has been awarded since 1993. While Maldives has been nominated for multiple awards, the Maldives has won several prestigious awards in the past. The awards won by local resorts provide several opportunities to develop the Maldivian tourism further.
