Maldives Police Service has revealed that 814 vehicles were fined for parking violations during the last week.
The weekly statistics published by MPS shows 12 motorcycles and 16 four-wheeled vehicles were towed for violations.
While 54 accidents took place in Male’ city during the last week, 20 people suffered injuries to various degrees during the incidents. Licenses of 12 people have been withheld in connection to the accidents.
The number of accidents occurring in Male' city has increased significantly since the beginning of Ramadan earlier this May.
