Maldives Police Service have revealed that vehicles parked illegally in certain areas in capital Male' will be towed.
Police said an increase in illegal parking has been noticed in three locations.
The locations are:
The area between MTCC ferry terminal and Bank of Maldives ATM on Boduthakurufaanu Magu
Area near Bank of Maldives Customer Service Center on Ameenee Magu
Area near Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH)
The police said vehicles parked illegally at the locations, and those at other locations will be towed.
According to traffic police statistics, over 700 parking ticket were issued in Male' last week, with 94 vehicles being towed.
