14 kg of drugs being exported to Maldives seized by Indian authorities

Authorities in Trivandrum, India has seized 14 kg of drugs that was being transported in an attempt to bring it in to Maldives.

Indian media reported that a vehicle carrying the illegal goods was stopped and searched, after which the three individuals in the vehicle were arrested.

2.5 kg of cannabis (ganja) and 11.5 kg of Hashish oil, which have a combined street value of over 120 million Indian rupees were discovered in the vehicle.

The arrested men revealed to Indian police that they were transporting the drugs to an agent who would then export it to Maldives.
