Harbor agreements of three islands signed

Ministry of National Planning and Infrastructure on Sunday signed agreements to construct harbors in Sh. Noomaraa, N. Henbandhoo and S. Meedhoo.

Construction of Sh. Noomaraa harbour was handed over to Sas E Construction for MVR 9,990,500.00 to be completed within an year. 48 meters of groin - a long, narrow structure built out into the water to prevent beach erosion and trap sand, will be built under the project in addition to an outer coastal wall of 63 meters, and installation of two navigational light beacons.

The agreement was signed by Director General of Planning Ministry Fathimath Shana Faroog on behalf of the government, and by Director of Sas E company Abdulla Savad .

The construction of harbours of Henbadhoo and Meedhoo were contracted to Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC). While Henbadhoo harbour costs MVR 26,629,639.27 , Meedhoo harbor costs 35,436,107.38,both projects to be completed within 300 and 365 days respectively.

The project agreements were signed on behalf of MTCC by their CEO Hassan Shah.
