Gili Lankanfushi to reopen in December after devastating fire

Luxury resort Gili Lankanfushi that was shut down following a fire earlier this January will be re-opened later this year.

Earlier this year, a fire blazed through seven water villas at the resort, causing innumerable damage. The resort is now being renovated and will be ready for re-opening soon, it has been reported.

The resort tweeted on Sunday that the 'Gili Magic' will return on 1st December.

Home to the world's largest standalone water villa, Gili Lankanfushi received the distinguished Travelers Choice Award in 2018, and was also chosen as the Number One Maldivian hotel. The resort also secured a spot as one of the top five hotels in the world.
