Crossroad Maldives Resort has published a children's book on Maldivian history and culture.
The book named 'Maldivian Discovery Centre' is targeted towards children who visit the luxurious resort, and was launched by the resort's General Manager Tolga Unan.
Crossroad Resort said children can learn about Maldivian history through fun and engaging games included in the book. The 20-page book will teach some of the most commonly used 'Dhivehi' words, in addition to emphasizing the importance of protecting the environment.
The book was published in collaboration with international NGO Live and Learn, which promotes environmental education. The book was illustrated by aspiring local artist Mohamed Shaffan who showcased President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih in his artwork during the recent Unveiling Vision art exhibition.
