The Guesthouse Association of Maldives (GAM) has begun work to introduce gastronomic tourism in the Maldives.
According to GAM, the president of European University of Tourism and a team of European tour operators will partake in the 8-day event. The delegation will be traveling to Alif Alif Rasdhoo and Ukulhas, and Baa Fehendhoo.
GAM also has plans to bring in tour operators from other destinations to let them experience the local cuisine in the Maldives. Furthermore, GAM is also collaborating with online booking site Agoda to conduct special workshops for the local guesthouses.
