Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has revealed that the two-year old who fell into a pond in L. Gan remains in critical condition.
Ismail Ahmed from IGMH media unit stated that the child's condition has not changed at all, and revealed that he still remained in the ICU, being treated with the help of a ventilator.
"Sometime today we did an MRI. We will have more information when the results come in", Ismail said.
The child fell into the deep pond in his home in L. Gan Saturday afternoon. The boy was rushed to the regional hospital in the island. The boy's condition deteriorated on Saturday evening and therefore he was airlifted to the capital that night.
The pond in which the child fell was within a structure of bricks encircling it but it was rather deep.
