Maldives Marketing & Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) has commenced a series of marketing activities in France.
MMPRC is taking part in the IFTM Top Resa fair currently ongoing in Paris, France. The PR corporation will also be conducting a “Journey to the Sunny Side” roadshow in France.
IFTM Top Resa Fair, which is considered to be the biggest trade fair in France is being held from 1-4 October. MMPRC is taking part in the fair together with 20 tourism industry partners. Maldives delegation will be meeting with industry professionals during the fair to further develop and strengthen the presence of the destination within the French Market, said MMPRC.
“Journey to the Sunny Side” Maldives roadshow will be held in Nice, Toulouse and Paris from 7-10 October. The roadshow will serve as a platform for tourism industry partners to showcase products and network with top travel trade industry partners from France, said MMPRC. 11 partners from the tourism industry of Maldives are participating in the roadshow to create potential opportunities and to further strengthen the relationship with French tour operators, they revealed.
France is one the top generating markets to the Maldives. A total of 50,476 visited the Maldives in 2018. 45,649 tourists arrived from France by the end of July 2019. This is a hike of 40.9% compared to the same period last year. France is the 7th largest market to Maldives.
