Two people have been injured after a car and motorcycle collided in Hulhumale' on Sunday morning.
Maldives Police Services said that the accident occurred round 7:50 am in the morning when a car driving west on Huvandhumaa Hingun collided with an oncoming motorcycle from Filigas Magu.
The 48 year old local man driving the motorcycle and his passenger, a 41 year old woman sustained minor injuries in the accident and are being treated at Hulhumale' Hospital, said the police. The 27-year old driver of the car did not sustain any injuries although the car received various damages.
In the recent weeks, many accidents have been taking place in the Male' area. Traffic police statistics show 58 accidents were reported this week, leaving 11 injured.
