An accident in reclaimed suburb Hulhumale' injured one on Saturday.
The accident occurred when a speeding motorcycle collided with an oncoming taxi.
Police said they received reports of an accident on the Reethigas Magu - Asurumaa Hingun junction on Saturday evening. While the 49 year old motorist sustained injuries, he was taken to the hospital for treatment, said the police. However, his injuries are not serious.
Both drivers possessed driving licences. Their vehicles received extensive damage in the incident.
