Home Minister urges police to prioritize interest of country's citizens

Home Minister Imran Abdulla has called on police officers to prioritize the interest of the country's citizens ahead of personal interests.

Speaking at a ceremony to present honors and colors to police officers, Minister Imran said police officers should prioritize the interest of the country's citizens, and said all officers should work to maintain the trust of the people in the police force.

"Put national interest ahead of your own. Prioritizing the nation is crucial for the country at this time. I believe the most important feature of every modern civil society is ensuring that the trust of the authority responsible for the society's peace and security is maintained", said Imran.

Minister emphasized that the respect, honor and esteem of the police must be maintained.

"This is the feature that we must adapt. If we adapt this habit, hopefully this authority will be a respected, reputable and esteemed authority", said the minister.
