A man who attempted to smuggle in drugs Addu City was arrested early Saturday morning.
Police said a 20 year old man was arrested at Gan International Airport around 1:00 am in an operation executed after the police were tipped off.
The man was searched at the airport, and a bag containing substances suspected to be drugs were found. Following his arrest, the man was presented to Maradhoofeydhoo Magistrate Court where he was remanded for 10 days, said the police.
The police are investigating the case further.
