The Coast Guard have rescued a drifting speedboat that ran out of fuel following their departure from Gaafu Dhaalu Thinadhoo.
Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) revealed that the engine of the 36-foot vessel named 'Blue Whale' stopped off Gaafu Dhaalu Kaadahdhoo while out for night fishing.
MNDF received report of the incident early Saturday. There were four people aboard the vessel - three Maldivians and an expatriate.
The boat is now on their way back to Thinadhoo after re-fueling.
