Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has announced that a bus card will be required to travel via MPL bus starting November 1.
MPL is the service provider for bus travel between Male' - Hulhumale'.
In their announcement, the company said they will cease the sale of bus tickets starting from next month, and that customers will be required to make use of a bus card to avail bus services provided by the Greater Male' Transport Link.
Customers were initially required to use a bus card when bus services on Sinamale' Bridge first commenced. However, lax regulations led to tickets being allowed for travel. This causes considerable delay in bus services.
MVR 10 is charged per ticket for travel between Male'- Hulhule' and Male'-Hulhumale'.
