Japanese Government has donated a fire engine to National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).
A tweet posted by NDMA on Friday said the fire engine was donated to MNDF Fire and Rescue Service as part of “The Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Project (GGP)” by the Japanese Aid.
The fire engine was cleared from customs on Friday night and will be officially handed over to MNDF Fire and Rescue Services by NDMA.
The Japanese government has made several valuable donations to the NDMA. Discussions have been held between Japanese Ambassador to Maldives Keiko Yanai and NDMA, and agreements have been signed to provide assistance to Maldives.
