An elderly man who went missing from GDh. Madaveli after going fishing has been found dead.
Mohamed Saeed, 72 went fishing on the island's reef around 1:30 pm on Tuesday afternoon. His family reported him as missing around sunset, after which a search was commenced. The man was discovered dead on the island's beach at 12:11 am early Wednesday.
The man was taken to the island's health centre where he was pronounced dead.
