Senior executives from Crossroads Maldives visited the Fannu Expo on Wednesday.
The national arts and crafts exhibition, Fannu Expo, was held from 22-28 November in Dharubaaruge.
The heads of Thailand's Singha Company that operates Crossroads Resort at Emboodhoo Lagoon visited the expo on Wednesday evening, where they admired the talented work of creative artists across the country. Crossroads Maldives is one of the main sponsors of the event.
Speaking during the visit, Chief Operating Officer (CEO) of Crossroad Maldives, Thiti Thongbenjamas said the company would support and assist in the development of local craftsmen and products.
"We [Crossroads Maldives] have a cultural centre. We need handicrafts at the centre to give to our guests. We have seen several Maldivian products here. We need Maldivian products," he said.
A large number of handicrafts and products by local craftsmen were displayed at the exhibition that concluded on Thursday.
