JSC selects judges for Criminal, Civil Court

Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has made the decision to appoint individuals to the Criminal Court and Civil Court of Maldives.

Adam Mohamed of Lh. Hinnavaru, who previously worked at the Prosecutor General's Office will be appointed to the Criminal Court. Adam Mohamed currently heads a private law firm.

Rizmeena, Ahmed Abdul Matheen, Fayyaz Shathir, and Aishath Azfa Abdul Gaffar will be appointed to the Civil Court. They were selected after interviewing shortlisted candidates from the 39 people who applied for the posts.

JSC further decided to appoint Abdulla Hussein of Th. Kinbidhoo as the Chief Magistrate of Th. Hirilandhoo Magistrate Court and Fathuhullah Jameel Moosa of L. Maavah as the Chief Magistrate of K. Guraidhoo.
