The Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) said that if any one's life is threatened while traveling disregard to adverse weather conditions, they will take actions against those who are responsible for such matters.

Coast Guard’s Commander Mohamed Saleem said that the relevant authorities have been advising the public not to travel in the adverse weather conditions. He said this in the news conference held to give information about the dingy that was found which got lost while traveling to Adh. Feali from Adh.Mamigili.

The relevant government authorities will take actions against those who are responsible if anyone’s life is threatened in traveling while the relevant government authorities have been giving information about the areas with adverse weather conditions and alerting about the adverse weather conditions, said Saleem. Hence, it is advised to take precautions and to be more cautious in travelling during this holiday, added Saleem.

Yesterday’s incident was a precarious incident and had the dingy sunk it would have been difficult to locate it. 9 vessels were involved in the operation to locate the dingy that got lost in yesterday’s incident. Saleem noted that in the operation nearby resorts and some private vessels were involved and thanked the cooperation received from the public.
