President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on Saturday concluded a four-day unofficial visit to Sri Lanka and returned to Malé.
The president departed to Sri Lanka on December 31st, and celebrated his birthday with his family in the neighbouring nation. While some of his close family members reside in Sri Lanka, the president visited the country earlier in January 2019 on an unofficial visit to attend the wedding ceremony of a relative.
Government offices re-opened on Sunday following the new year holiday on January 5th.
