Immigration prevented two foreigners entering with fake indentities

Maldives Immigration has prevented two foreigners who were trying to enter the Maldives with fake identities.

As per Maldives Immigration, they have prevented two foreigners entering the Maldives, who used forged resident cards to enter from Vela International Airport. They are 29-year-old and a 21-year-old man.

The immigration has not revealed their nationalities, from which country they came from and neither has provided any further information. However, Immigration has published on Twitter their photos disguising eyes and mouth.

Recently the issue of trying to enter the Maldives with fake identities has surfaced much. In that regard, Immigration had prevented foreigners from entering the Maldives with fake identities even last year.

To solve this issue the immigration has been working with the relevant government authorities to address the issue of human trafficking in addition to strengthening the border control system.
