Will not boycott ceremony of Presidential Address: Opposition

The opposition coalition parliament members have said that they will attend the ceremony of Presidential Address to open parliament for the new term of the new year.

The People’s National Congress (PNC) parliamentary group leader and Maduvvaree MP Adam Shareef said that the opposition coalition members will not boycott the ceremony of Presidential Address. However, they have not revealed if they will have any demonstration during the ceremony.

Since the former President Abdulla Yameen is sentenced for money laundering, the PPM/PNC coalition MPs have been demonstrating in every parliament meeting calling the release of Yameen.

The second Presidential Address of President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is scheduled to be held on February 3, 2020.
