A fair to promote Maldives in India

The Maldives has participated in the South Asian Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) held in New Delhi, India.

According to Maldives Marketing and PR Corporation (MMPRC), 28 representatives participated from 19 companies of the Maldives, in the fair that will continue until 10 January 2020.

Participating in the SATTE fair is the first promotional activity of MMPRC this year. The fair that will be carried on for three days is attended by 1000 exhibitors from 50 countries.

MMPRC said the 60 feet stand erected in the fair to represent the Maldives symbolizes the underwater sceneries of the Maldives. In the Maldives stall display and tasting of Maldivian cuisines will be there in addition to social media campaigns. Further, there will be a draw taken among the visitors to the stall proving an opportunity to visit the Maldives.

India is among the two countries that the most number of tourists visit the Maldives. Last year 166,015 people visited the Maldives from India.
