The Egyptian government has donated books to Arabiyya School through the Al-Azhar University of Egypt.
The Arabic textbooks were received by Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Shahid and Minister of Education Dr Aishath Ali. The books were handed over by the Egyptian Ambassador to the Maldives, Excellency Hussein Abdelhamid EL Saharty, in the ceremony held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday.
Minister Shahid said that Egypt is a country that always provides numerous assistance to the Maldives and the Azhar University also assists in the development of the Maldives.
