Ms Aminath Shifana has been appointed as the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
When Shifana joined, it had been three months since the post of Permanent Secretary was vacant and Minister Shahid raised concern over it.
The post of Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs became vacant when the former Permanent Secretary Ms Aminath Abdulla was appointed as Consular General of Maldives at Trivandrum, India.
Shifana had worked in the Ministry for 11 years earlier. Prior to becoming Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs she worked as the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Security.
