Two sea-accidents occurred on Saturday, in which one person was injured.
The police said that an accident occurred Saturday evening when an airport ferry collided with speedboat travelling to Dhiffushi island of Kaafu atoll. While one was injured in the incident and taken to the hospital for treatment, the police did not comment on his condition.
The second accident occurred a few hours later when a Vilimale’ ferry collided with a passing 'dhoani' vessel. Luckily, no person was injured in the accident.
Vilimale’ is a ward of Male’ though physically a separate island situated about five-minutes away from Male' by ferry.
The police said the drivers of all the vessels involved in the accidents possessed licences.
