Two expatriates have been arrested for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old boy.
The police said they arrested two 50-year old expatriates on Friday after receiving reports that they had been sexually abusing a young boy since 2018. The court issued a 15-day remand period for their arrest on Saturday.
Although the police did not reveal from which island the case surfaced, they confirmed that the report was received by the North Police Division. Haa Alifu, Haa Dhaalu and Shaviyani atolls are under North Police Division.
