Commissioner General of Customs passes away

Commissioner General of Customs, Ahmed Nu'uman has passed away. He died while seeking treatment for a kidney-related illness in Bangalore, India.

According to reports, the commissioner passed away in the Intensive Care Unit following a kidney transplant operation. The commissioner had been in the neighbouring country seeking treatment for a long period.

Nu'uman was the Chairperson of Adalaath Party's Gender and Human Rights Committee at the time of demise. He was also a member of the party's advisory council. He had previously served as the Chairman of FENAKA utility company when it was first established, as well as worked for STELCO and the Ministry of Housing.
