Govt provides opportunity to send necessities to Maldivians in Thailand

The Maldives government has provided opportunities for the families of Maldivians in Thailand to send care packages via a cargo flight to Bangkok.

An announcement issued by Foreign Ministry on Sunday stated the national carrier, Maldivian will be flying to Bangkok to bring cargo on Wednesday. Therefore, the government wishes to provide the opportunity for the families of Maldivian nationals in Bangkok to send necessities to their family residing in Bangkok.

Goods that are allowed in the care package:
• Fish cans
• Noodles
• Rihaakuru (only from MIFCO, ENZI or in original packaging)
• Fish packets/Fried leaves packets (packets sold in shops)
• Chili paste, Masmirus (original packaging with labels)

The items will be collected from a designated counter at the departure hall of Velana International Airport, on Wednesday between 0900 hours to 1300 hours, said the ministry.
