A fisherman from Gaafu Dhaalu atoll Gadhdhoo has passed away while diving for baits.
The police said they received a report of a 21-year-old youth from Gadhdhooo, who dived from a fishing vessel ,was found motionless by another fisherman who was also diving for baits. The police reported that according to the doctors, the person was dead when he was taken to the hospital.
The police are investigating the matter further.
Such incidents do occur from time to time. However, it has been quite some time since such an incident has not been reported.
