The Maldives on Friday recorded 6 new cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), the new cases are of 3 Maldivians and 3 foreigners. This brings the total number of positive cases to 2,283.
HPA also announced 15 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,863. The number of active cases is 407.
46,891 samples have been tested for COVID-19 thus far. The archipelago has recorded 8 COVID-19 related fatalities to date.
Authorities said 312 individuals are currently at isolation facilities while 219 individuals are at quarantine facilities.
