Maldives’ biggest business fair, Hotel Asia Fair will not be held this year, Maldives Exhibition and Conference Service (MECS) have announced.
Hotel Asia Fair’s organizer said the exhibition originally planned to be held from September 20 to 23 this year will be postponed in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. Several travel restrictions are currently in place due to which a large number of vendors will not be able to take part in the fair, said MACS.
The Maldives relaxed most of the restrictive measures imposed on the island nation ealier in May after which the number of positive cases have been rising rapdily.
