A speedboat traveling to a sandbank near K. Kohdhipparu capsized on Monday afternoon.
Maldives National Defence Force, MNDF said all seven people who were traveling on the vessel escaped the incident unscathed. The seven local men aboard the vessel swam to the nearby sandbank when they got stranded at sea, said MNDF.
MNDF has urged to exercise caution when traveling due to the current adverse weather conditions.
