A dinghy vessel carrying four people capsized on Friday.
The dinghy, which was out fishing between HDh. Nolhivaram and Nolhivaramfaru, capsized when it hit a thunderstorm during a shower. Two adults and two children were aboard the vessel at the time.
Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF) said they learned of the incident around 3:40 pm. By that time, a speed boat traveling in the area had already rescued the passengers. They were transported back to Nolhivaram by MNDF Nothern Area Gulf Craft.
No persons were injured in the incident.
