A battery exploded aboard a speedboat en route to Male' from R. Ungoofaaru, injuring six.
The vessel involved in the incident, named 'Crystal,' was carrying a total of 39 passengers, according to the Maldives National Defense Force (MNDF). The injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment for their injuries.
The cause of the incident is still unclear.
