The Maldives on Monday recorded 124 positive cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), 118 cases were identified in the Greater Male’ Area while six cases were detected in the atolls. The new cases include 100 locals and 24 foreigners. The tally has reached 5,909 with the new cases.
2,414 cases are currently active while 23 deaths have been recorded to date; the most recent death registered earlier on Monday. 139 recoveries were also recorded on Monday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 3,485.
