The Maldives on Saturday recorded an additional COVID-19 death.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), a 58-year old local woman admitted at the Hulhumale Medical Facility passed away at 3.55 am early Saturday morning. This is the 32nd COVID-19 death registered in the Maldives, and the fourth death in the ongoing month.
Over 9000 positive cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the Maldives until now, with the number increasing significantly over the past month. However, the numbers have fallen below 100 daily cases over the past week.
