The Maldives is taking part in the largest tourism fair held in Asia, the ITB Asia Fair.
The virtual fair will be held from October 21 to 23. 17 tourism industry partners will represent the Maldives at the fair. Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Cooperation (MMPRC) said the natural beauty of Maldives will be displayed during the fair.
The Maldives’ tourism sector suffered huge setbacks after the tourism-dependant archipelago closed its borders to tourists earlier in March. The country reopened its borders on July 15, and 11,581 Asian tourists have visited the Maldives since then.
ITB Asia is an annual B2B trade show and convention for the travel industry. It is the premier meeting place for the travel trade industry and a forum for establishing high-quality customer contacts and conducting businesses.
