A new COVID-19 death has been recorded in the Maldives.
The Health Protection Agency (HPA) said a 60-year old local man who was taken to Dhaalu Atoll Hospital on Friday night passed away later the same night at around 9:45 pm. His tests came back positive for COVID-19 after his death and burial.
The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded in the Maldives is now at 38.
