Leader of the Jumhooree Party and ruling coalition partner, Gasim Irtahim has praised President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih for his efforts to ‘lead the country to a safe harbour’ amid internal and external influences.
The administration of President Ibahim Mohamed Solih, which comprises a coalition of political leaders of four different parties, marked the completion of two years in administration on November 17.
Sending felicitations of the day in a tweet published on Tuesday, Gasim said the president is maneuvering the country through different ‘waves’ arriving via both internal and external influences, and is leading the country to a safe harbour. In his tweet, Gasim prayed to Allah to assist President Solih in his noble endeavour.
Gasim Ibrahim played a major role in ensuring a win for President Solih in the 2018 presidential election. He shares a close relationship with the president. President Solih recently spoke of his high regard for Gasim.
