Local coffee shop, Meraki Coffee Roasters has been listed among the ‘50 Best Coffee Shops in Asia’ in the Big 7 Travel Guide.
The coffee shop owned and run by the President Office’s Undersecretary, Mabrook Abdul Azeez was listed as number 25 on the 50 spot list. The list is compiled based on audience survey and reader suggestion as well as reviews from the editorial team.
“Meraki is the top (and original) speciality coffee roaster in the Maldives that’s effortlessly cool – it wouldn’t look out of place in Brooklyn. They roast all their own beans in-house and regularly change up their coffee menu,” wrote Big 7 in their travel guide.
Meraki Coffee Roasters is the first commercial coffee roaster opened in the Maldives. The coffee house has been very popular among the youth since its opening in 2017.
