The construction and development of a domestic airport at GDh. Faresmaathodaa has commenced.
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) was awarded the contract for airport development on November 10, 2020. The project value is MVR 144.88 million.
According to MTCC, the project site has now been mobilized and the practical work of the project is now being implemented. While a duration of 600 days have been granted to MTCC to complete the project, the project includes the construction of a 1200 meter runway, taxiway and apron as well as service roads.
