Maldives records 62nd COVID-19 death

The Maldives on Sunday registered an additional COVID-19 death.

According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), a 62-year old Maldivian male admitted at the main government hospital, Dharumavantha Hospital’s DH11 unit passed away early Saturday morning at 5:06 am. This is the 62nd COVID-19 death in the Maldives, and the second death over 36 hours.

While the Maldives’ tally of positive COVID-19 cases is currently at 19,597, the number of active cases is 2,397. Over the past 24 hours, 118 positive cases were recorded in the Maldives.
