President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has sent a message of condolence to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President, Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ruler of Dubai, following the passing of his brother, His Highness Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Minister of Finance of UAE and Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
In his message of condolence, the president said Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum will be remembered as a wise and accomplished statesman who contributed greatly to Dubai’s success, and that his loss will be felt throughout the United Arab Emirates, the Middle Eastern region and the world. He extended condolences to the Government and people of Dubai on behalf of the Maldives government and its people.
