The Maldives on Sunday reported 780 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), 571 cases were recorded from the Greater Male' Region while 209 cases were reported from the atolls, including resorts. This increases the archipelago's tally to 63,686, out of which 24,205 cases are active at this time. 218 people are currently hospitalized and receiving treatment.
24 hours have passed since the Maldives last reported a COVID-19 death, after recording consecutive deaths for the past 16 days. 85 deaths were recorded this month out of which 70 deaths were recorded over the past 16 fays. The country's toll is at 158.
