The Maldives on Monday reported 710 confirmed cases of COVID-19.
According to the Health Protection Agency (HPA), 488 cases were recorded from the Greater Male' Region while 207 cases were reported from the atolls, including resorts. This increases the archipelago's tally to 64,396 cases, out of which 24,109 cases are active at this time. 204 people are currently hospitalized and receiving treatment.
The Maldives recorded three COVID-19 deaths over the past 24 hours. 88 deaths have been recorded thus far this month compared to 51 deaths recorded between March and December 2020.
